IEC (Import Export Code) is a 10-digit registration number issued by the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade). Without this code, no individual or company in India can export or import anything legally.

🖥️ Step-by-Step Process to Apply IEC Code Online (2025)
1. Visit Official DGFT Website
Go to: https://www.dgft.gov.in
Click on “Apply for IEC” on the homepage.
2. Create Your Account
Enter your PAN, email ID, and phone number.
Verify using OTP.
You’ll now be logged into your dashboard.
3. Fill in the IEC Application Form
Enter basic details:
Name of applicant
Nature of business (individual/proprietorship/company)
Address and contact number
Bank details (account number and IFSC code)
4. Upload Required Documents
Scan and upload:
PAN card
Aadhaar
Cancelled cheque
Make sure the documents are clear and match your form details.
5. Pay ₹500 Online
Pay via UPI, debit card, or net banking.
6. Download Your IEC Certificate
Once verified, your IEC code will be emailed and also shown in your dashboard. This usually takes 24 to 48 hours.
